We enjoy Dead Horse Ranch a lot and stay here when we visit Sedona. It is quiet and we love the roadrunners and other animals wandering around. Dog-friendly and quiet for an excellent night's sleep. If I had 1 complaint it is that the only trash bin is at the entrance to the Quail camp area where we stayed. On the other hand, it is a great walk with the dog to dump the garbage, or drop it off on your way out. Will stay again next time we visit Sedona.

We always stay here when going into or coming out of the Mojave Desert. Trains seemed particularly loud this stay though noise was covered up by turning on the fan only on the a/c. Stayed several times and this was the first time we noticed the trains during the night; possibly the spot we were in this time vs the other stays. Bathrooms are always immaculate and the laundry is great! Fun to pick fresh oranges when in season; nothing like tree-ripened fruit. Great, long dog walk area.

We enjoy staying at Avi with its easy access to the Casino and restaurants. Windy when we were there this time with mostly sand to walk the dog. She manages and we stay here rather than in Needles or Laughlin. Quiet and close to the Colorado river. Would stay again.

We arrived late, after the office closed, and had one heck of a time finding our site -- nothing is marked on the roads or directional signs indicating site areas, and at least where our site was located (#C6), it is pitch dark with no lights. You can not see the site numbers until you are right on top of it. We were not the only ones who had difficulty -- the husband had to help another rig who had also taken the incorrect direction, a 40' + towed, back-up, etc., so they could find their site. Now the husband tells me there was a note on the reservation envelope saying, "it might be a good idea to locate your site on foot before driving to it." Good advice; however, this still leaves one without any good directions since there are no signs, etc., and it is pitch dark. What if one is disabled?? The husband says this place is "not user-friendly." We decided to stay here rather than somewhere else based on reviews of the park on this site. We will not stay here again.

Like other reviewers, this park seems to be deteriorating since our first stay in March, 2006. New owners; we hear. WiFi worked fine for us inside our coach and parked in the back row and while it is close to I-40, it is amazingly quiet. New owners have added breakfast & dinner offerings which they will deliver to your site, if you wish. On the down side though, units are side-by-side and we prefer a bit more elbow room. The place was full when we arrived at 2:30 am and we stayed on a second day to recover from the late arrival. Staff is friendly enough and our dog enjoys the park. We are debating about whether or not we would stay again though on our prior 2 visits (1 for a week), we enjoyed the campground very much. While shower was not clean, it was not severely dirty either and had plenty of hot water with good pressure.

Good place to stop on Interstate 5 between Santa Nella and Sacramento. Pretty quiet and freeway noise is minimal with easy access to fast food and gas stations. Our Jack Russell Terrier enjoyed the jack rabbits running around the park in the late afternoon. Have stayed twice and would stay again using this park as a "stopover" rather than long-term location.
